Park burns and bushland between the acreage
Noosa National Park reaches right up to some Doonan homes, and the park is burnt on purpose to keep its fuel down. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service fire history records a planned burn of about 28.6 hectares in the park, lit in August 2018. It sat behind a house on Fellowship Drive, where the bush meets the back yards. On blocks along that edge, dead wood, low limbs and branches over the roof are worth clearing before the fire season.
Council bushland is threaded between the acreage too. Sunshine Coast Council's open space register lists ten bushland reserves in Doonan, among them the Butler Road, Coastview Parade and Smiths Road bushland conservation reserves. Plenty of properties back onto one, and trees on reserve land are not the owner's to prune or remove, so a job near the back fence starts by settling which trees stand on private land.
Queensland Places describes Doonan as a rural and residential district, where numerous roads with hilltop views branch off the main through route, Eumundi-Noosa Road. Homes sit on hilly blocks reached by side roads and long driveways, so a quote allows for the slope, the travel between properties and whether a truck, chipper and stump grinder can reach the tree at all.

Doonan questions
The wetlands refuge and the West Weyba burn
Can trees on the wetlands refuge side of the fence be trimmed?
Not by the neighbours. Sunshine Coast Council's environment levy land register lists the Doonan Wetlands Nature Refuge, about 47 hectares settled in 2004, as conservation land the council manages. If your land adjoins it, confirm exactly where the boundary runs before anyone works on trees along that fence.
Is the park burnt near the rural blocks as well?
It is. The state's fire history shows about 11.9 hectares burnt in June 2023 in the West Weyba section of Noosa National Park, which borders rural Doonan blocks. Near that edge, trees and regrowth around homes and sheds are kept clear of dead wood and low branches that could carry fire to a building.
